These are icons we are adding to our matrix this coming revision, we think they add another level of "depth" to the information.

Matrix Progress

Our beginnings were very similar to the original matrix, but with each revision we branched out slightly with our ideas.

after this we got WAY more experimental and took it upon ourselves to design two different looking matrixes with common themes and functionality, first is Justins.

Finally theres mine, we could not decide which to proceed with, so we plan to critique both of them with the class. More to come.

Progress, sort of

Lately we've been focusing sort of sporadically on both the Matrix and the Activist group. This post is going to be for the most part, about the activist group. (we stuck to helvetica for most of the studies so as not to be concerned with stylistic choices as we proceeded onward)

We decided radiation was without a doubt the most provocative and interesting issue we were ever going to get from the region, especially considering the Soviet Unions sordid past with Chernobyl and other such events. So we tried to play on the word radiation and come up with some sort of acronym or anything related really, we weren't picky and I think we found some pretty solid ideas out of this method.

Our initial idea was RAD

We began to like this idea a lot so we decided to mock up a few ideas using this as a model. We figured it could work similarly to the inspiRED aids campaign in a sense that it could be [Begining Letter of Country] RAD , so for example [R]RAD. We thought this best because nuclear pollution doesn't only effect Russia, but this group would certainly be prevalent there given its history. This also coincides with current events in the sense that Japan is going through similar problems and this group would almost certainly be involved there as well.

These are our initial studies with RAD, more to come as well as more fully realized ideas for names/causes.
